Yummy!
Xavier got his first try at solid (well, semi-solid) food last night! A mix of applesauce and cereal was his introduction to yummy things that aren't from a bottle, and he did very well. While much of the food ended up on his face or shirt, a fair amount actually managed to find its way into his mouth, where it was met with massive confusion. The looks on his face are priceless (and yes, we have video! I'll try to post it soon), but all in all it went pretty well and food was eaten. He had another go today, and gobbled up half a pack of sauce. Well, maybe not gobbled, as it took 45 minutes. But, he's eating! He doesn't quite get the process yet, but he loves to hold on to the spoon. This makes it harder as he is more likely to create a mash projectile or simply investigate what happens to pulverized fruit and stamped steel when gravity is applied. He'll get better, we know, and we'll have pear mash hanging from the ceiling in no time.
